Having concentrated on writing development tools for years, I always look at new operating system releases with an eye toward seeing if there’s anything new I can use to solve difficult development problems. For example, Windows® XP introduced vectored exception handling, which allows you to intercept the exception handling chain for logging and diagnostic purposes.
