Murach's Beginning Visual Basic.NET could be subtitled "Learn By Doing." Like the VB6 Murach book, it takes a hands-on approach to teaching the language and is designed to get beginners up and running with the language as soon as possible.According to the book's introduction, the book is for anyone who wants to learn the language, including Java, COBOL, or VB 6 programmers, as well as those who have little or no programming experience at all. However, unless you fall into the last category, you may find the book a bit too basic, slow-paced, or repetitive.
