As you have probably already found out, the Gadget APIs are not so well documented yet (and not very rich), there are some bugs here and there, and not everything works the way you want it to the first time around. Moreover, being an experienced .NET or C++ developer does not spare you from some perfidy in JavaScript and DHTML. I've decided to share my experience of getting somewhat further into gadgets and I hope I will save you some unnecessary moments...
