Working with Context Menus in .net 2.0

Context menus allow users to right-click a form or other control and receive a menu system that appears at the point of the Right-click. You create these menus using the Context Menu Component.

Context menus allow users to right-click a form or other control and receive a menu system that appears at the point of the Right-click. You create these menus using the Context Menu Component.

 

To associate a context menu with a control or form, you set the Context Menu property of that form or control. To create a context menu in an application, follow these steps:

 

1. Double-click the Context Menu component in the Toolbox. The Context Menu Component appears in the component tray.

 

2. Build the context menu by typing the text of the menu items directly into the Windows Form Designer.

 

3. Use the Properties window to set properties for any of the menu items that You create.

 

4. Select the form or control that you want to associate the context menu with and edit the Context Menu property of the control using the Properties window.
