In this simple article you will learn how to work with menus in VB.Net. Using Visual Studio.net it is very easy and simple.

Create a New Project in VB.Net. Open ToolBox and Drag a Main Menu Control on your form. Click on the Menu and Write File then press down arrow key then write New then again press down arrow key and Write Open with this way add in the following options in menu:

File

New

Open

Save

Save As

Exit

Then press on to the right side icon having Text here and write Edit on this and add the following options:

Edit

To Upper

To Lower

Select All

This is the simple way to add menus now if you want to write code against the menus. Double click on the menu options and write your desired code. For example, double click on Exit menu option and write code

Private Sub MenuItem6_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MenuItem6.Click

        Me.Close()

End Sub
